This Sean Hurley Signature '61 Precision Bass has been a bitter source of division in our Bass Department, as disputes regarding who called dibs on it have resulted in significant bloodshed, many tears, and even a full-on rumble. But, all of us can still agree that this serial is an absolute monster. It's everything you could want in a Precision bass. Low notes have jaw-dropping mass and width, the midrange packs a Hulk-sized punch, and the highs are fat and clear.

Overall, it nails the warm, woody clarity of the best examples of Vintage Ps we've seen. It's also wonderfully dynamic! If you play softly, it has a beautiful melodious, round, piano-like tone. When you dig in, you get this glorious snarl and clank. Sometimes, basses that have such a high capacity for growl can sound splatty when play hard, but even when I played as hard as I could, I couldn't get the notes to "break." So, you can flog away with abandon!

This is truly a marvelous example of vintage-style Precision Bass tone, and we have no doubt you'd be willing to fight over it just like the members of our Bass Department did!

Condition Report

This Sean Hurley signature model is in minty-fresh shape! It looks near new condition, and it has no cosmetic flaws to report. Most importantly, it sounds positively thunderous! To top it off, it comes with its original hardshell case, a certificate of authenticity, and all its case candy.
