Gibson Custom Shop 2015 True Historic 1959 Les Paul Reissue
Wildwood Guitars is honored to present what we feel is the ultimate in vintage correct accuracy and detail: The True Historic Series. For years, the Gibson Custom Shop has made exceptional strides and gone to painstaking lengths to improve upon their wonderful Historic reissues. Each year, the result is an instrument that has gotten closer and closer to vintage correct accuracy and tone.
For 2015, the ante has been upped yet again with an unparalleled leap in accuracy and vintage vibe. Improving upon their legendary Historic line, the Gibson Custom Shop has achieved obsessive detail and scary-authentic accuracy by studying the materials, manufacturing techniques and specifications of original vintage instruments. The True Historic line from the Gibson Custom Shop honors the legacy of some of the most sought after instruments on the planet, paying homage by replicating the finest details and nuances. From new plastics composed of the original vintage spec material, to the double carving of tops and necks to ensure vintage accurate profiles and dishing, these True Historic reissues are about as close as it get's to owning a real vintage instrument. But the eye for detail doesn't stop there... A new finish process with time-intensive wet sanding by hand completes the package, delivering an instrument that not only looks authentic, but feels and sounds authentic too. Capped off with all hide glue construction and extensive setup process, the new True Historic line captures the essence of our favorite vintage pieces and creates a new era of golden age instruments just waiting to be discovered. Due to the time-intensive labor and old world manufacturing processes, True Historic models are extremely limited in production. Be sure to check back frequently for the latest available inventory here at Wildwood Guitars.
