Sonic Evaluation
This Collings is a thoroughbred, through and through! It's a prototypical example of a rosewood-bodied acoustic with a Sitka top: rich, open, articulate, and LOUD! You can coax some truly lovely mellow tones out of it when you play softly, but it really shines when you lay into it vigorously with a flatpick. The low-end packs a serious rib-rattling boom, the midrange is punchy, and the highs are awash with a golden glimmering glassy chime. If you're looking for a rosewood dreadnought with a huge voice that can be heard from three counties over, this serial would make an excellent addition to your quiver!
Condition Report
This Collings is in fantastic shape! Its finish shows some light marks from normal use, and a few bigger marks, the most noticeable of which is a pick mark between the soundhole and the bridge on the bass side. All in all, it's an uber-clean machine, and its frets are in killer shape with virtually no wear, too! It comes with its original hardshell case as well.Specifications:
