Sonic Evaluation

This guitar is an astonishing example of the power and might of the 000-28! It has a round, piano-like attack that responds to your touch as fast as Usain Bolt chasing an ice cream truck. Perhaps because of the Adirondack top, you can put a LOT of energy into this guitar without it the note breaking. So, it's able to project enough that your neighbors might ask you to turn down! Overall, it has full-bodied response across the board, and a lush, three-dimensional voice. In the low-end, the response is massive, with a woody, dry vintage-style profile. The midrange packs a wonderfully warm, wide punch with lots of sunny overtones--a bit of an anomaly for a guitar with rosewood back and sides, which normally have a more scooped profile. Above that, the highs sparkle and chime beautifully with glistening overtones. If you're on the hunt for a great 000-28, this serial will inspire you endlessly!

Condition Report

This monster Martin sounds glorious and is in fantastic shape! It has virtually no fretwear, and hardly any cosmetic imperfections--just some small dings on the top by the treble-side lower bout. Other than that, it shows very few signs of use, and it comes with its original hardshell case, too!
