Used 2022 Fender 60th Anniversary Jaguar
Sonic Evaluation
Given how gorgeous the blue finish on this 60th Anniversary Jaguar is, all you need is an oyster cult and you're in business! It's certainly worthy of cultish devotion, because it's nearly impossible to put down. It does The Jaguar Thing beautifully. The attack is as articulate and percussive as can be, with a beautiful woody twang that blooms into a lush, sparkling resonance. It sounds bold, bright, and beautiful, but it all the sharp edges have been rounded off, so there are no icepick frequencies or harshness.
You know the guitar parts on spaghetti Western movies from composer Ennio Morricone? This guitar has a similar twang and bite to it. The bridge pickup is a snarly, twangy, surfy delight with excellent jangle and chime and a healthy dash of rudeness. The neck pickup has all of that, too, but it trades a little sparkle and meanness for broader midrange response and warmer, fatter lows.
Though this guitar is an excellent surf machine, I found myself drawn to playing nasty rock riffs, jangly chords, searing blues, punky power chords, and even some country licks! It's a wonderfully versatile beast that will excel in any genre that prizes articulation, bite, and bell-like chime.
If you're looking for an offset guitar with an inspiring personality, don't fear the reaper and check this boss blue Jaguar out!
Condition Report
