Fender American Vintage II 1975 Telecaster Deluxe

The Sound of the Seventies
Wildwoodians, the 1970s were a tumultuous time for everyone, and things were no different at the Fender Musical Instrument Corporation. The gnarly sounds of hard rock were all the rage on the charts, and guitar players were gravitating towards the gristle-laden sounds of humbuckers. To meet the needs of discerning players, Fender decided to introduce a dual-humbucker beast to their lineup. Thus, the Telecaster Deluxe entered the musical arena. Now, Fender pays tribute to those trailblazing vintage originals by reissuing the Tele Deluxe for the American Vintage II series.
Much of the Telecaster Deluxe's evergreen appeal comes from its Wide-Range humbucking pickups. If you've never played a guitar equipped with these pickups, they are truly special. Something about the CuNiFe (Copper/Nickel/Iron) magnets and large bobbins give it a different flavor of tone than any other type of humbucker. They have all the fullness and robust frequency response you'd expect from a boss 'bucker, but they have a bell-like openness, superb articulation, and clarity that set them apart. There's plenty of beef, but also a tremendous capacity for subtlety and nuance. It's no small thing to recapture such a special tone, our friends at Fender have painstakingly recreated the magic of the originals by using real CuNiFe magnets (which hadn't been used in years) in the American Vintage 1975 Telecaster Deluxe.
And these '75 Teles are delight to play and look at thanks to a variety of vintage accurate specs. They have a 9.5" radius and medium jumbo frets, a configuration that works well for most techniques and play styles. Plus, there are all kinds of sweet aesthetic touches like the big Strat-style headstock, bullet truss rod, and three-bolt neck plate to complete the vibe. All in all, these Teles are the musical equivalent of a souped-up Camaro: a classic American built for maximum performance. Take one for a ride and we have no doubt you'll fall under their spell!
