Welcome to the Terrordome

Wildwoodians, we are proud to present the Orange Terror Bass, a lightweight, portable head that packs a metric ton of authentic Orange tone into a ten-pound box. Though the Terror Bass is a featherweight, it has five hundred watts' worth of muscle, and its clever hybrid design gives it incredible sound quality and maximum versatility at an incredible value. Let's journey into the Terrordome, Wildwoodians, and see why the Orange Terror Bass is such a pugnacious bass guitar amplification device!

The Orange Terror Bass offers the best qualities of tube and solid-state bass amps. It has the warmth, touch-sensitivity, and overdriven tone of a tube amp along with the clarity, articulation, and sheer power of a solid-state amp. Basically, its preamp mimics the circuitry of the vaunted Orange AD200, Orange's flagship all-tube bass amp. Then, the preamp feeds an incredibly efficient Class D power section. It is impossible to overstate how cool this configuration sounds! The AD200 preamp gives the Bass Terror a wonderfully organic, full-bodied tone, and the power amp allows it to move an incredible amount of air.

This hybrid construction gives you access to a vast palette of tones, so you can paint your low-end masterpiece with any shade of Orange you want. Using the simple-yet-powerful three-band EQ and the "Clean" switch (which drops the gain and smooths out the high-end for a crystalline clear sound), you can dial in a terrifying array of sounds. Full-on tube grind, light grit, clean piano-like depth, snappy funk, vintage clank and growth, pillowy thump, and old-school woody punch are all easy to dial in. With the Orange Terror Bass behind you, the classic tones of players like Steve Harris, James Jamerson, John Paul Jones, Geddy Lee, Bernard Edwards, and Stanley Clarke are all just a couple of tweaks away.

Beyond that, the Bass Terror has a few upgraded features that make life easier for the discerning modern player. It has a switch that reduces input sensitivity by 6db so that it sounds equally good with passive and active basses, and a tube-driven effects loop so you can get great tone from all your favorite stompboxes. Perhaps most importantly, it has an awesome-sounding built-in DI. Some DIs can sound lifeless and dull, but the direct signal from the Orange Terror Bass sounds lively, colorful, and full-bodied, so you can send the sound guy a killer signal for the PA.

We're delighted to showcase the Orange Terror Bass because it checks all the boxes: it's lightweight, it can cop all sorts of sounds, it's intuitive and easy to use, its sound quality is magnificent, and it does all of this at a player-friendly price point. Truly, it is a thousand pounds of BASS in a ten-pound box. We invite you to step into the Terrordome and experience its earth-shaking power firsthand. Once you do, we have no doubt that you'll fall in love with its thunderous tone.
