The band Thrice is the sort of earthquake-generating, awe-inspiring metal outfit that would make battle-hardened Vikings tremble in their boots, and Dustin Kensrue is at the heart of their massive sound. Dustin plays guitar, sings, and writes songs that live in the realm of heaviness while drawing wide and varied influences from elsewhere. With this in mind, he approached Ernie Ball Music Man about building a simple yet versatile guitar with plenty of muscle. Thus, the Dustin Kensrue Signature Stingray was born.

After heaps of research and development, the Dustin Kensrue Signature Stingray emerged, and it is lean, mean rock and roll machine. It has two Custom Music Man Pickups that totally rip. The single-coil in the neck position is like the meaner, more muscular brother of a fifties-style single-coil. The humbucker in the bridge position sounds thick and punchy, and it has exceptional clarity and string separation despite its preponderance of gristle. You can also use the button on the treble-side horn to bypass the controls and send both pickups out in stereo (of course, you do need a stereo cable to do this.)

These spectacular pickups sit on an okoume body with a beautiful TV Blonde finish. With the tinted neck, it carries an air of rugged, rustic menace. It also has a lovely neck profile and high-profile medium-width frets made of stainless steel for optimum durability and feel.
