The subtle relic job on this Custom Shop '62 Jazz bass is awesome, but it's nowhere near the coolest thing about it--that honor belongs to its iconic tone! It's a big, round-sounding J Bass with warm, deep lows, punchy mids, and a fat trebles. It has a decidedly woody vintage character, and it has a sponge-y attack that makes it tremendously easy to play evenly, but with just enough give to be dynamic. The bridge pickup has plenty of bite and snarl but with plenty of depth, the neck pickup packs a cavernous boom like a 100-foot-tall upright, and the middle position? Brother, the middle position is pure gold: articulate but with full-bodied frequency response across the board, a true example of why meeting in the middle can be the best strategy in life and music! This Custom Shop '62 Jazz Bass is a fearsome thud staff capable of transporting you to low-end Valhalla, and it's also super clean! It shows extremely light signs of normal use, and it has no cosmetic flaws to report. It comes with its original hardshell case, floor traveler, hangtags, bridge cover, and a certificate of authenticity from the Fender Custom Shop.
