Sonic Evaluation

This Custom Shop Kelly is a lean, mean rock and roll machines capable of laying waste to the entire Eastern seaboard with its rock and roll powers! It has one Seymour Duncan JB pickup, because where we're going, we don't need neck pickups. As far as bridge humbucker sounds go, few are better than the JB. Here, it sounds like a hot-rodded PAF, maintaining a vintage character but adding an extra dose of heat, articulation, and clarity. This translates to MAXIMUM FUN when you plug in. You can feel the low-end in your gut when you hit the E string, and chunky riffs sound positively chugnificent as a result. The midrange is a snarly and punchy, and it achieves a fantastic crunch when you play power chords. The high end is nice and open with just the right amount of sparkle. Across the board, this guitar has uncommon overtone presence and sustain--perhaps because of its string-through-body configuration and neck-thru construction.
