Ernie Ball Music Man Signed Ball Family Reserve John Petrucci JP15 7-String – #60 of 71
Ball in the Family
Wildwoodians, we are downright giddy to announce that we have received the latest offerings from the Ball Family Reserve. For those who are unfamiliar, the Ball Family Reserve is a line of limited-production guitars that showcase exceptional tonewoods, drool-inducing finishes, and extra-elegant designs. Previously, these fine instruments were only available to members of the Ball family and Ernie Ball Music Man's roster of artists, but Sterling Ball and his sons, Brian and Scott, have graciously offered them to the public.
Each piece in the Ball Family Reserve is lovingly crafted using a combination of precise, state-of-the-art modern manufacturing techniques and time-consuming old-world methods that involve lots of good 'ol-fashioned elbow grease. Each piece is also VERY limited, and once they're gone, they're gone. We are privileged to showcase such rare, exquisite instruments, and we are proud to welcome Ernie Ball Music Man to the Wildwood Family.
Seven String Bliss
Attention, all Wildwoodians desiring extra thunder and gristle (Gristlethunder would be a great name for a metal band, wouldn't it?): we are proud to present to you the John Petrucci JP15 7-String from the Ball Family Reserve! John Petrucci himself signed the control plate of this low B-equipped beauty, and it is number 60 of a run limited to 71 pieces worldwide.
Even if it weren't such a rare creature, it would be worth seeking out, because it looks, sounds, and plays killer! Two DiMarzio Illuminator humbuckers provide plenty of heavy yet articulate tone, and the versatile electronic system allows you to dial in a piezo pickup and a 20db boost. The roasted and incredibly highly figured maple neck has an equally gorgeous figured fretboard with a 17" radius, which means buttery bends and low setups. Along with the thin profile, these neck specs give the JP15 smooth, fast handfeel sure to delight anyone with a proclivity for shredding. Finally, the Blood Orange Burst finish highlights the spalted maple top's beautiful grain, making for a regal aesthetic befitting a metal monarch like Mr. Petrucci.
We are proud to showcase such an inspiring instrument, and we know it will bring some lucky Music Man fanatic total seven-string bliss.
