This awesome Custom Shop Les Paul is a textbook example of a "Telecaster on steroids" type of Les Paul--think Jimmy Page on Zeppelin IV and you'll get a rough idea. It has a wonderfully snappy, percussive attack, and it responds to your right-hand input immediately with a delightful woody twang. The bridge pickup is a picture of a snarly perfection: the midrange bites like an underfed dire wolf, the high-end sizzles with rich harmonic overtones, and the low-end is tight and muscular. The neck pickup is as warm as grandma's cookies and as deep as the Marianas trench, with powerful bass response to go with broad, throaty midrange that sings like a twenty-foot-tall opera singer, and sweet, fat-sounding highs. In all positions, each note has just a little bit of extra weight that makes each note feel powerful. If you're looking for a Les Paul with a little extra fairy dust mixed in with the maple, this serial will take you on a magic carpet ride!

Condition Report

This Custom Shop Les Paul is in fantastic shape! It has just a few small cosmetic imperfections to report: some bleeding in the binding from the aniline dye, a few small scratches and light dings (the most noticeable of which are by the pickguard bracket on the side and on the bass side of the neck by the tenth fret. It does carry a faint smell of smoke, too. It comes with a non-original Lifton case and a certificate of authenticity.
