Archtop of the Mountain
Wildwoodians, this '54 L-5C is everything a hollowbody guitar should be. To put it simply, it does The Thing. It has that iconic sweet, warm, woody voice we associate with vintage hollowbody Gibsons, and it is remarkably articulate and touch-sensitive with great note separation. The lows are pillowy and deep, the highs are sunny and meaty, and the midrange is vocal and broad. All in all, this serial can contend with any guitar on the (arch)top of the mountain when it comes to tone. Okay, we'll see ourselves out after using the same pun twice, but not before we invite you to take this bad boy for a spin and experience The Thing for yourself!
