Sonic Evaluation

I started practically drooling when I opened the case to this awesome Les Paul Classic Premium Plus (can you blame me? that quilt top with the mineral streaking is jaw-dropping!), but its sound is what really made me salivate. It's a bit of a Jekyll & Hyde situation in the best possible way. The bridge pickup is uber-muscular and snarly, but also has surprising richness and crunchy, sparkling overtones. By contrast, the neck pickup has a lovely sweet, singing, warm tone reminiscent of of an old-school PAF but with a bit more heat. When they meet in the middle position, it's like Nutella hitting peanut butter: a perfect blend! The lows are deep, the highs sparkle, and the midrange sings. If you're looking for a Les Paul with highly complementary pickup voicings, this serial will get the job done in style!

Condition Report

This Gibson Les Paul Classic Premium Plus is in superb condition! It shows typical wear from normal use, and it only has a few cosmetic imperfections. There are a few dings in the finish, most notably on the lower bout on the top below the control knobs, on the back of the lower bout, and by the upper strap button. The hardware has tarnished moderately, and there is some light checking on the headstock. The pots and the output jack plate have been replaced, and the originals are in the case (the knobs may have been replaced too, but we're not sure). The pickups measure 8.34k in the neck position and 14.65k in the bridge, and the frets measure .095 inches by .048 inches. All in all, it's quite clean, and it comes with its original hardshell case, too!
