This Custom Deluxe HSS Strat us purpose-built to be a workhorse on the stage and in the studio with its shreddable compound-radiused neck and versatile electronics, but that sells short its inspiring qualities. This is one of those Strats that have that magical vocal quality that makes single-note lines sing, scream, cry, and wail like a blues singer. It also has an uncommonly rich voice dripping in harmonic overtones! The two single-coils sit somewhere in the middle on the spectrum between bright and Gilmour-y or warm and Hendrix-ish with sparkling highs, throaty mids, and warm lows. The bridge humbucker is muscular and punchy with a nice open high-end, too. The in-between positions quack and chirp beautifully, and all positions have a little extra sizzle and vintage-style sag when you dig in. This Custom Shop Deluxe Strat absolutely rips! Custom Shop Abigail Ybarra pickups, a Duncan 'bucker, AND a fast, modern neck with a compound radius? Sign us up! This thing can grab ALL the tones, and it plays like Crisco-coated butter. It's also in fantastic condition. It only has a few small cosmetic flaws to report: a pair of dings on the bass-side lower bout edge, some speckling on the top, and some mild fret sprout. The frets also show some very light wear. It comes with a non-original molded plastic Fender hardshell case, too!
