This pugnacious purple Suhr never wants to cause you any problems or cause you any pain, and it will definitely compel you to dance in the purple rain! It's so fun to play that it's practically illegal thanks to its articulate voice, muscular power, rich overtone presence, and versatile electronics. The low-end end is tight, round, and piano-like, while the midrange has a broad, vocal response. The trebles have uncommon weight and mass, and they're supremely articulate, gaining a percussive quality that gives way to blooming resonance as the note sustains because they have less tension due to the reverse headstock (that's why the lows are so tight and springy, too).

The bridge pickup is punchy and open, and the neck pickup is vocal with a lovely bell-like chime. No matter where you are on the neck or what pickup you have selected, this guitar drips with harmonic content, too--I wound up hitting a screaming overtone frequency I've never hit before when I bent the seventh fret A up a step and felt the coolest I've ever felt in my life!

Regardless of your preferred genre or style, this Suhr's rich, articulate tone will have you dancing in the purple rain with purple haze all up in your eyes!

Condition Report

This purple people eater of a Suhr is in marvelous condition! It shows extremely light signs of normal use, and it only has a couple of small cosmetic imperfections to report: a tiny ding on the side of one of the pickup covers, and some slight tarnishing on the hardware and anodized set screws. Other than that, it's minty fresh, and it comes with its original hardshell case!
