Used 1997 Martin Thomas Humphrey C1R Millenium
Sonic Evaluation
This Thomas Humphrey C1R Millennium is a joy to play because of its rich, warm, inviting voice and comfy neck profile. Overall, it has a robust frequency response across the board and a wide dynamic range (that cedar top is doing work here!). The bass response is deep and chocolate-y, the midrange is smooth and round, and the trebles are fat and glassy. When you dig in, you can also get a much greater overtone presence and make this serial go from warm and open to focused and punchy. I could probably sit and fingerpick my way through chords on this guitar all day, as I find its blend of robust sound and expressive articulation utterly addictive. If you're looking for a monster nylon-stringed stallion, this serial will satiate your appetite for acoustic destruction.
Condition Report
This Martin Thomas Humphrey C1R Millennium is in fantastic shape! It shows only extremely light fretwear, and it has only a few cosmetic imperfections: very light scratches and dings sprinkled throughout the finish, with a couple bigger ones behind the bridge. There is also a small mark left by aftermarket tuners on the bass side of the headstock. A previous owner re-installed the original tuners, and there is an extra hole that is covered up. It comes with its original hardshell Martin case.
