Reverend Warhawk Double Agent W
A License to Kill
A new Reverend Double Agent--codenamed "Warhawk"--is here, and it is on a critical mission to deliver monster tone and superb playability to an undisclosed location behind enemy lines. Though Double Agent Warhawk may have a cryptic name, it provides a remarkably inviting playing experience thanks to a host of player-friendly appointments and a stellar combination of pickups. The resonant korina body provides a warm, balanced, harmonically lively basic tone, and the set-neck construction gives it a bit of extra sustain and resonance.
With an excellent basic tone established by the tonewoods, the HA5 humbucker in the bridge position and 9A5 P-90 in the neck position provide players with a thick dossier of classic tones. Reverend's world-famous bass contour knob really works its magic here, and it allows you to cop so many awesome sounds, it'd make James Bond weak in the knees! Fat, punchy humbucker tone? See the file for the bridge position. Warm, woody twang with upper-midrange quack and cutting trebles? Just make sure you're not being followed and flip to the neck position after rolling off the bass contour. Muscular, sculpted low-end with lots of high-end sparkle? Just make your way to the middle position! The list could go on and on, but we mustn't discuss it here--the walls have ears!
Facetiousness aside, Reverend has provided lucky guitar players with yet another deceptively simple guitar that can cover an incredibly wide swathe of stylistic ground with only simple control! It also plays like a dream, too, thanks to its delightful medium oval neck profile and medium-jumbo frets. A good spy is reliable, too, so the Warhawk Double Agent comes equipped with high-quality components like a Pure Tone jack, boutique-quality capacitors and pots, and a treble bleed circuit.
Well, there you have it, Wildwoodians! Double Agent Warhawk is at your service. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to plug in and melt faces until you reach rock and roll Valhalla. Good luck, and godspeed.
B-Stock Report
Though this Warhawk Double Agent has a license to kill, it does come with two small cosmetic flaws: there are some black markings on the binding, and there is a ding on the top edge of the top horn. It's not particularly egregious, and this guitar still sounds fabulous and plays beautifully, so it's a great chance to experience the might of the Warhawk Double Agent at a sweet value!Specifications:
