Sonic Evaluation

Wildwoodians, I say this without hyperbole or exaggeration: this Custom Shop 000-28 is acoustic titan capable of levelling cities, boiling oceans, and conquering worlds (okay, maybe just a little hyperbole). Facetiousness aside, this 000 inspired such a cosmic introduction because it sounded so amazing. They say cocobolo sounds very similar to Brazilian rosewood, and this serial makes a compelling argument for that point because of its incredible richness and deep bass response. Harmonically, it is practically dripping with lush, sweet overtones that create a a sense of enveloping three-dimensionality. The high end is downright crystalline, with incredible sparkle and chime.

But, what I like best about this guitar is its attack. It has enough give that you can alter the tone with the force of your right hand, which makes for a wonderfully dynamic, expressive experience. But, it is stout enough to handle quite a bit of picking power, and it resolutely refuses to splat. It also has plenty of headroom, so it sounds open even at higher volumes.

This guitar is going to bring some lucky guitar picker a tremendous amount of joy. In return, I simply ask that you be merciful to me when you use it conquer the world!
