A New Beginning

Martin Guitars has a well-deserved reputation for making some of the greatest traditional acoustic guitars in the world. But, they are also home to some of the most brilliant minds in the acoustic guitar world, and they aren't afraid to evolve the acoustic with bold, innovative new designs. The new SC-13E is perhaps one of the coolest acoustic guitar designs we've ever seen, and it carries the DNA of the traditional Martin sound while introducing a host of features that will appeal to discerning modern players.

It has a 13-fret neck, which gives it an excellent blend of overtone complexity and punchy fundamental while reducing string tension. Said 13-fret neck has a new shape--called the Low Profile Velocity--and it plays like Crisco-coated lightning. You may notice from the photos that there is also no neck heel, which allows for unprecedented upper-fret access. Finally, it has an offset body that improves ergonomics and looks super cool!
