Sonic Evaluation

As I was strumming away at the chords of Mazzy Star's Fade Into You when I sat down with this serial, one of my colleagues walked over from the other side of the store, gave me a nod of approval, and fist-bumped me. That interaction really nails what's special about this serial: it is a fist-bump-inducing slice of acoustic joy. It has a round, piano-like attack that springs forth with suddenness into a full-bodied, open resonance.

The lows are deep, but they have a warm, woody, vintage-style dry thump that keeps them from overwhelming the other frequencies. The midrange packs a solid punch and has golden-hued overtones, and the highs sounds lush and brilliant. It's also easy to push this guitar into sparkle mode by digging in with your right hand--it's not too hard to get the top moving, and when you do you are rewarded with a rich bouquet of overtones. As a strummer or fingerstyle guitar, it handles business with aplomb--a true ATV. We have no doubt it will induce many fist-bumps for you on your acoustic journey!
