Rickenbacker 360W

The Walnut Wonder
Wildwoodians, we are proud to present the Rickenbacker 360W, a remix of one of Rickenbacker's most iconic guitars. Based on the six-string 360s toted by modern rock legends like Peter Buck of R.E.M. and Laura Jane Grace of Against Me (and little-known twelve-string slingers like George Harrison and Roger McGuinn), the 360W has an earthier aesthetic than its glossy brothers, and it speaks with a different sort of voice than anything else Rickenbacker builds. Because it stands out from the crowd, this bold Rickenbacker is quite inspiring!
So, what makes the 360W stand out from the rest of Ricknebacker's offerings? Well, it has a walnut body and a maple fingerboard, a combination you can't find outside of Rickenbacker's aptly-named "W" series. As a tonewood, walnut is known for its present, punchy midrange, its bright, spacious highs, and its warm, well-mannered low-end. Compared to the typical maple Rickenbacker body, walnut is a bit warmer and a bit more balanced (though it does retain that classic Ricky sparkle).
The 360W's maple fretboard also has a lot to do with its distinctive timbre. While most Ricks sport a fingerboard that smooths out the attack like chechen, the 360W's maple board has the opposite effect. It produces a snappy, percussive, articulate attack that slices right through the mix.
In this case, warm timbre plus bright, percussive attack equals tone for days! Though anyone within earshot will be able to hear that the 360W's DNA comes straight from the British Invasion, it still manages to sound vital, new, and refreshing (the two Hi-Gain pickups also help in this regard).
Since it already has head-turning looks and eardrum-tickling sounds, it seems almost unfair the Rickenbacker 360W feels great, too. But, life isn't fair, and this Ricknebacker boasts delightful slinky handfeel thanks to its 24.75" scale length, 10" radius, and comfy neck profile.
We are proud to present such a sweet instrument to our exceptional customers. We believe that the Rickenbacker 360W is a fresh, exciting take on a rock and roll classic, and that its killer looks, sweet sounds, and superb playability will inspire players to enter uncharted territory in their fretboard adventures.
