Gibson Modern Collection Les Paul Studio
Stu-Stu-Studio
Wildwoodians, the Gibson Les Paul Studio has always been near and dear to our hearts because it delivered an iconic Les Paul playing experience at a player-friendly price point, packing all of the magic and power of a Les Paul into an all-killer-no-filler package. They've always been monster guitars, and our friends at Gibson have (somehow!) made them even cooler with this refresh.
First things first: the premium features that have made the Les Paul Studio a Wildwood favorite for years are still here. The body is made of high-quality, resonant tonewoods: rich mahogany with a maple top, just like the LPs of yore. It also has a glued-in set to boost resonance. So, though it may not have as much bling as some higher-end Les Paul models, under the hood it has the same supercharged sonic engine!
Refresh Mode
Speaking of supercharged things, let's go over the electronics, because our friends at Gibson have seriously tuned them up for this iteration! It comes equipped with Burstbucker Pro pickups, which have the sonic characteristics of classic PAFs but a bit more: more power, more snarl, more bite, and more meanness. They also have outstanding note separation, sparkle, and boosted harmonic response thanks to its trademark slightly-unbalanced coil windings. Add in a pair of push/pull knobs for coil-splitting, and your palette of sonic colors becomes quite vast, indeed! As the name implies, the Les Paul Studio does excel in the studio due to its versatility (which also serves it well live), but anyone seeking a guitar with ALL the tones for general inspiration will find much to fall in love with here, too.
For those that take the Studio to the gig, it has Gibson's Ultra Modern weight-relieved body and an addictively fast SlimTaper neck profile, so it's quite comfortable to play for a long time. It's also dressed to impress. It sports a gorgeous nitrocellulose lacquer finish that allows the wood to breathe and resonate, and it has sah-weet matching trim! Other alluring cosmetic appointments include a bound fretboard, vintage deluxe tuners with keystone buttons, and acrylic trapezoid inlays. Ironic that it's called the Studio, as its stunning appearance practically demands an audience!
Wildwoodians, we are proud to present the stunning refresh of the Gibson Les Paul Studio. Its superior sonic horsepower and versatility cement its status as an all-time-great all-terrain vehicle, and its streamlined yet elegant appearance is sure to turn heads. We're proud to showcase the Modern Collection Les Paul Studio, and we have no doubt that it will inspire you to turn up the volume and rock out!
