Used 2021 James Tyler Tylerbastar
Sonic Evaluation
The metallic Jimburst finish on this James Tyler Tylerbastar is a head-turner for sure, but what's under the hood is even cooler--it's ten pounds of tone in a five-pound bag! It's everything I want in a T-style guitar: muscular and articulate enough for all kinds of rock, jangly enough to be a great strummer, and twangy enough for country. The bridge pickup remind me of a Nocaster-style pickup with punchy midrange, sparkling high-end, and taut, tight lows. The mini-humbucker in the neck position is also glorious, as it packs a Hulk-sized wallop in the mids with brawny but well-defined lows and sizzling trebles. In either position, this serial's balance and string separation are fantastic, and it's practically dripping with lush overtones. If you're looking for a T-style guitar with uncommon power and versatility, check this serial out!
Condition Report
This Tylerbastar is in minty-fresh shape. It shows hardly any signs of use, and its frets show practically no wear. Most importantly, it sounds killer enough to significantly disrupt productivity around the shop--an occupational hazard when you work around guitars as awesome as this one! It comes with its original hardshell case, too.
