Gibson Jerry Cantrell “Atone” Songwriter
Down in a (Sound) Hole
Wildwoodians, we are proud to present the signature model of legendary Alice in Chains guitarist Jerry Cantrell. Based on the classic Songwriter design with a few key tweaks, the Jerry Cantrell "Atone" signature model delivers the tried-and-true sound of a Gibson with a spruce top and rosewood back and sides. It's warm, clear, punchy, and robust yet balanced, and it works beautifully in a wide variety of musical contexts and styles. The body depth is a bit thinner to make it more comfortable to play, and that also makes it a bit clearer and more focused than a typical songwriter.
It also looks the part with the "Circle in Square" pickguard, Jerry Cantrell's (reproduced) John Hancock on the truss rod cover, a Double J waterslide graphic on the back of the headstock, gold hardware, and a "12" inlay on the fretboard. And, it comes equipped with an LR Baggs VTC pickup for maximum fidelity in plugged-in situations.
We have no doubt that the Jerry Cantrell "Atone" Songwriter will inspire you to embark on all sorts of exciting acoustic adventures!
