Used 2004 Taylor Guitars 30th Anniversary XXX-MS – #138 of 250
Sonic Evaluation
Happy anniversary, indeed! This 30th Anniversary Taylor is an example of everything I love about maple-backed guitars. It has a beautiful crystalline purity, a sunny disposition, delightful jangle, unimpeachable articulation, and lovely sparkle. It has a present but well-mannered low-end, a woody midrange, and sweet, sparkling highs. Its string separation and balance are top-notch as well, and its wonderfully responsive with a percussive, woody attack. The subtleties and nuances of your playing come through exceptionally well, too.
All of these qualities make it a marvelous fingerstyle guitar, and it also works beautifully as a flatpicking machine if you play with a light-to-medium touch. And, if you really open it up with a pick, it works beautifully as a box-o-jangle!
If you're looking for a bright-sounding fingerstyle guitar that can pull double-duty as a strummer, you'll love this rare, beautiful Taylor!
Condition Report
This marvelous limited-edition Taylor is in beautiful shape with just a few cosmetic imperfections. It shows very light signs of normal use, and the frets show just a bit of wear. There's one small ding on the back by the upper bout on the treble side, and some checking along the binding on the back. It has also undergone a repair for a crack in the top; however, it is completely stable and this guitar has a clean bill of health. It comes with its original hardshell case
