Sonic Evaluation

When I picked up this Jackson Browne Model 1, my creative think tank was decidedly NOT running on empty! It astonished with both its cannon-like power AND its responsiveness. When you dig in, it fills the room in a way that commands everyone's attention (in fact, one of my colleagues poked his head in the door and hollered "Turn that down!" while I was playing it), but it also speaks beautifully at lower volumes. As a result, it has a dynamic range as wide as the the Colorado sky out my office window. The low-end response is round and deep with enough punch to rattle your ribcage, and the midrange is broad and woody. The high end is sweet with just the right amount of sparkle, and even notes on the high E string have plenty of mass. Overall, it produces an excellent blend of woody fundamental tones and harmonic overtones, and its warmth is hard to beat. Condition Report

This Jackson Browne Model 1 is in fantastic shape, and it sounds like a wooden titan! It shows very light signs of normal use--just some extremely light dings and scratches. The frets show some extremely light wear, so it will be ready to rock for a long time. There is a little bit of missing color and wear on the back edges of the headstock, perhaps from a stand, but that's the only real cosmetic imperfection worth noting. More importantly, the red spruce top and the English walnut back and sides give it an inspiring sound that puts a new, exciting spin on the classic Gibson tone formula. It comes with a non-original hardshell case, and it is missing its case candy.
