Taylor Guitars PS14ce 12-Fret “Wildwood and Steel” Prototype
Overview Video
Tonal Evaluation
This phenomenal prototype is one of the sweetest-sounding, most responsive grand auditoriums I have ever played! The low end is dry, pillowy, and clear and the response time is super fast thanks to the sinker redwood top, so this thing can handle whatever fast bass runs you can throw at it! The high is absolutely gorgeous, too-- it's dense, lush, and full but never harsh. The redwood top can go from open and warm to bright and jangly in a heartbeat, too! This serial would be a great choice for anyone looking for a eye-popping, comfortable acoustic that can do it all.
This very guitar was featured in the Fall 2017 online edition of Wood & Steel on page 19:
