Used 2016 Heritage H-575
Sonic Evaluation
When you sit down with an outstanding hollowbody like this 2016 Heritage H-575, it feels like a lock is clicking into place, or like a hand fitting in a glove, or peanut butter meeting jelly between two slices of bread. Pick your preferred metaphor, but the meaning is the same: it just feels good to play. It's finely-tuned hollow construction gives it a powerfully resonant acoustic voice, so much so that I had to turn the amp up a little bit so my ears didn't get confused! Its also quite sensitive to the touch, and you can coax different tones out of the wood by altering your attack even before you plug in. Before any electricity enters the equation, this guitar speaks with a powerful, inspiring voice.
When you do amplify, the possibilities for sonic savagery are endless. Though the H-575 can certainly do the warm, pure jazz tone through a clean amp, the same qualities that make it work well for jazz (it has excellent string separation for complex chords and it lends single-notes tons of weight) make it an excellent rock guitar, too. Chords have a resounding lushness, but each individual note of the voicing comes through even with heaping helpings of gain applied. Single-note lines also sound laden with gristle, and they have that lovely vintage-style note bloom if you let them sustain and breathe. I could see myself taking this guitar to a rock, country, blues, jazz, or even punk gig--it's that versatile!
Overall, this serial is a massively resonant guitar that responds so quickly to your input that it feels like an extension of your hands, which makes ofr a wonderfully expressive playing experience. We have no doubt it will inspire you to embark on all sorts of exciting fretboard adventures!
Condition Report
This gorgeous Heritage H-575 is in fantastic shape with just a few small cosmetic imperfections. But first, let's make one thing clear: this thing rules! It can handle a surprising array of styles and genres from jazz to classic rock to blues to country, and it has a powerfully resonant acoustic voice that translates well when plugged in. It shows light signs of normal use: some light scratches, a few tiny dings, some extremely light checking around the neck heel and the binding, and some light hardware tarnishing. There are also some light marks and areas of color fade on the top under the bridge. All in all, it's a clean, mean machine, and it will make some lucky archtop aficionado a very, very happy guitar picker.
