This Custom Shop ES-175 is an INCREDIBLE guitar (seriously, if you've never had the pleasure of playing a Custom Shop ES-175, it's a revelatory experience!). This one does the warm, woody, jazzy tone beautifully, sure, but don't get it twisted: it's also a rock, country and blues machine! The magic lies in its supreme touch-sensitivity--it really has an almost acoustic-like responsiveness. After the initial attack, an expansive, room-filling resonance blooms forth even when you're playing acoustically.

However, you'll want to plug in, because these Burstbuckers really sing! Overall, it has a warm, woody, expansive sound with an almost atmospheric natural reverberance. The bridge pickup packs a wide-mouthed bite, allowing lead lines to punch through and chords to sparkle and crunch in a lovely way. The neck pickup is definitely on some hundred-foot-tall opera singer vibes the way it sings out so purely with such power. All in all, it makes for a dynamic, expressive playing experience that makes it easy to get lost in the sauce. We have no doubt you'll find it as magical as we do!

Condition Report

This Custom Shop ES-175 is quite clean. It shows typical light wear from normal use, and there are some light marks from the bridge being in slightly different positions on the top. There's also some bubbling around a few of the tuning posts, and the hardware has tarnished lightly. Finally, there's a small crack in the cutaway, which is more of a cosmetic concern than a structural one. If you don't mind a few small cosmetic imperfections, you'll fall in love with this gorgeous Custom Shop hollowbody tone machine! It comes with its original hardshell case, its warranty book, and a certificate of authenticity.
