Used 2000 Gibson ES-335
Sonic Evaluation
This 2000 Gibson ES-335 is a textbook example of a spectacular semi-hollow! It has the acoustic-like touch-sensitivity and dynamic range that have long been hallmarks of great ES-335s, and that makes for a wonderfully expressive playing experience. The attack has a lovely vintage-style sag before the note blooms into rich, full resonance. The neck pickup is ungodly thick and beefy-sounding, and it makes both chords and lead lines sound gargantuan. In the bridge position, the low end tightens up and the high-end opens up into a world of beautiful chiming overtones above punchy mids. All in all, it's a remarkably rich-sounding, expressie ES-335 sure ot light your semi-hollow fire!
Condition Report
This ES-335 has clearly been played, but also lovingly maintained. It shows typical playwear from normal use: light scratches, small dings, scrapes, and dents, the most noticeable of which are on the headstock. A previous owner upgraded to a bone nut refretted it, and the current frets show no wear, so this semi-hollow heartbreaker is ready to rock for a long time. It comes in a non-original Gibson hardshell, too!
