Friedman Pedals
Back to the Root of it All
For years, the name Friedman Amplification has conjured images of big things: big amp stacks, big sound, and big names like Eddie Van Halen and Jerry Cantrell. While it might seem like their foray into effects pedals was a bit of a departure, it’s actually a return to Dave’s roots. Before Friedman Amplification was even a gleam in his eye, an eighteen year-old Dave Friedman was working at Andy Brauer’s Studio Rentals, a haven for gearheads that procured high-end gear for professional musicians in LA. When Andy’s rackmount-unit specialist quit, Andy offered him the job, and soon Dave was learning to construct rack systems on the fly as he built signal chains for some of the biggest names in rock and metal. Since this was the eighties, rack systems were all the rage, but they were basically hidden pedalboards. So, Dave has been building effects since day one!
It should come as no surprise, then, that his line of Friedman Pedals are every bit as amazing as his amplifiers and guitars; after all, he’s had thirty years’ worth of practice! Dave brings his years of experience and electronic wizardry to every single circuit, imbuing them with his signature hot-rodded vintage-inspired tone. Dave’s obsessive dedication to build quality is also apparent in every pedal, because they are sturdy as can be. They are the sort of pedals that feel like an extension of your instrument and amplifier, and they are sure to inspire you to reach new heights in creativity on your six-string adventures.
We are proud to present our selection of Friedman Pedals, and we invite you to browse and find the stompbox that speaks to you so that you can experience the magic that happens when a master returns to his roots.
