James Tyler JTG-M1
The Mark of Greatness
Wildwoodians, we love James Tyler guitars the way the lead singer of Australian duo Savage Garden loves the object of his affection: truly, madly, and deeply. That's why we're so excited about their freshest venture, JTG! JTGs are their new line of crafted-in-China guitars, and they capture the spirit of what makes a Tyler great at a very player-friendly price point. Though nothing compares to the peerless precision engineering and flawless tone of an American-made Tyler, the JTGs are scary guitars in their own right with their delectable tone, buttery playability, and eye-catching finishes that will make every guitar picker on your block green with jealous rage. This M1 in particular is a dual-humbucker vehicle for musical madness!
A Tale of Two Humbuckers
With the M1, you get the best of both worlds in the realm of humbucking tone. The Super Humbucker in the bridge is hot and fiery, with a ton of midrange bite and punch, excellent openness, muscular low end, and sizzling highs. The neck pickup is more of a classically-voiced pickup with serious PAF vibes: warm, deep, woody low-end along with raspy, singing highs and broad, throaty midrange. As you may have guessed, this means the middle position is pure peanut butter and jelly! With these two tones at your disposal, you can easily vanquish your enemies and plunder their countryside!
Fantastic Fit and Finish
As you can no doubt tell from the pictures, the finishes on these guitars are eye-catching to say the least. However, they feel even more amazing than they look! They have a super comfortable '59-style neck profile that lives squarely in the Goldilocks Zone: nice and slim near the nut for easy chording in the open position, but tapered to be a little fatter up near the twelfth fret so you have something meaty to grab onto while soloing. The Jescar 51100 frets are a vintage jumbo size, which lessens left-hand effort and helps allow effortless bending. The neck also has a satin finish, which makes you feel like your hands can fly. All in all, it adds up to a guitar that looks and feels like a dream!
JTG: Just Terrific Guitars!
Wildwoodians, we have no doubt that the JTG MK1 will inspire you to love it truly, madly, and deeply if you take it for a spin, and we think its fantastic tone and playability and stylish looks are sure to inspire you to embark on all sorts of exciting fretboard adventures!
