Condition Report

This 2021 Custom Shop Strat is in outstanding condition! Other than some extremely light fretwear in the first position, it shows barely any signs of use, and it has no cosmetic flaws to report. It comes with its original hardshell case and a certificate of authenticity, too!

Sonic Evaluation

This Strat is a prime example of what my esteemed colleague Bruce calls a "Hendrix-in-Britain" Strat. It's rich and vocal, with tons of warmth and vocal cluck. It's the kind of Strat that makes you want to play Little Wing immediately (or in my case, try and fail miserably!). The neck pickup is fat but supremely well-balanced, with enough low-end to feel meaty without overpowering the broad midrange or the glassy highs. The bridge pickup is focused and bright, but with no icepick-y frequencies or harshness, just openness and sparkle. The middle pickup is a happy medium between the two, with broader EQ response across the board and more muscle than gristle. The in-between positions jangle and chime beautifully, and they have that inimitable vocal quality, too.
