Used 2017 Heritage H-555
Sonic Evaluation
As a Kalamazoo native, Heritage guitars are near and dear to my heart, and this fabulous H-555 is a perfect example of why I love them so much. It's super resonant acoustically, and it's one of those electric guitars where you can hear its soul and character before you even plug in. When amplified, it's a delight: big, rich, open, and expressive, with a wide dynamic range.
The attack is woody and percussive, and overall this serial has an acoustic-like touch-sensitivity. The neck pickup is sweet, warm, and creamy, with a complex midrange, deep lows and glassy highs. The bridge pickup snarls and crunches beautifully, with punchy midrange, tight lows and gorgeous open, sparkly highs.
If you're looking to experience the joy of a semi-hollow built at 225 Parsons Street in Kalamazoo, check this H-555 out!
Condition Report
This gorgeous heritage H-555 is in fantastic shape! The frets look perfect, and it has just a few small cosmetic imperfections. There are some faint scratches and tiny dings in the finish on the body, and the hardware has tarnished a little, with some areas were the gold plating has worn off. There are also a few small marks and dings on the headstock face, and a slight impression left by a clip-on tuner. Finally, there's some light checkin in areas of the body binding, heel cap, headstock inlay, and (most noticeably) on the fretboard binding at the fret ends. All in all, it's quite clean, and it comes with its original hardshell case!
