Sweet Victory

Wildwoodians, the Gibson Victory is one of our favorite cult guitars, and we felt like we won the Super Bowl when Gibson announced it was coming back! A cult favorite from the '80s, the original Victory's run was short but memorable with advertisements that said "It sounds like all of them!" That versatility on on full display here, as the push/pull tone and volume controls allow you to split the coils AND select whether you want the inner or outer coil. That flexible yet simple configuration allows you to access all sorts of killer sounds that you can use to vanquish your enemies.

And hoo boy, those '80s Tribute humbuckers scream! They have a beautiful snarl and lots of muscle in humbucker mode, but they also do janglier, sparklier sound beautifully when tapped. It also has a 25.5" scale length, which gives it a snappier, springier, more piano-like attack than a typical 24.75" scale Gibson like an SG. Said comfy SlimTaper neck also has a compound radius for maximum shreddability, and a 24-fret neck--a rarity on Gibsons. All in all, it makes for a guitar that does it all sonically and feels great doing it.

A nitrocellose lacquer finish allows the resonance of the premium tonewoods, while also looking gorgeous, and the body contours have been refined to give it a sleeker look than the originals. It also has an Explorer headstock, which (to put it scientifically) is extremely rad.
