Sonic Evaluation

This D-40 is a monster! It's uber-responsive, and you barely have to kiss the strings to get it to ring out. The low-end is so cannon-like I had to look down and double-check the back and sides to make sure it was indeed mahogany, because the bass response rattled my ribs like a rosewood-bodied dread, but with the woody, clear timbre of mahogany. The midrange is warm and complex, and the highs have just the right amount of sparkle. If you're looking for a responsive dread with stunning power, check this serial out! 

Condition Report

This Guild D-40 is in fantastic shape! The frets show almost no wear, and there are only a few small cosmetic imperfections: some light scratches on the headstock, a tiny ding on the treble-side lower bout near the back binding, and some noticeable finish settling on the top. It comes with its original hardshell case.
