1985 K-20

Sonic Evaluation

This gorgeous Taylor K-20 from 1985 is a marvelous example of a vintage Taylor. The all koa construction gives it a sunny, sweet voice, and it has that signature Taylor sparkle in spades. The lows are punchy and woody, the midrange rich and complex, and the highs crystalline and pure. It rewards a light touch, and it's marvelously responsive. Condition Report

This Taylor K-20 is in outstanding condition! It shows light signs of normal use, and it only has a couple of small cosmetic imperfections: the pickguard has shrunk and curled at the edges a tad over the years, and a previous pickup install left two holes that have since been filled. The frets look like fantastic and show virtually no wear, measuring .082 inches by .041 inches (we assume it has been refretted at some point). A previous owner installed an older version of a Fishman Natural 1 with what we think is a Lansing AT831 mic. The undersaddle pickup is connected with a mono cable, so you'd need a stereo breakout cable to use it with the mic.  It comes with its original hardshell case, too!
