This '66 Jazz Bass has been expertly restored after receiving an amateur refinish job at some point in its life, and it sounds thunderous enough that it would give Thor a jump-scare! Gabriel Tenorio of TenorioWerx in Denver, Colorado did the restoration work, and he did an amazing job! It appears to originally been a three-tone sunburst, then refinished to blue (there are some chunks of the paint used to refinish it in the case pocket if you're curious), and now it sports a beautiful nitrocellulose lacquer Dakota Red finish, which shows some small dings and light scratches.
It has also undergone a refret at some point, and the new frets are in fantastic shape with virtually zero wear--they measure .090 inches by .048 inches. The pickups, pots, tuners, bridge control plate are all original, but the pickguard is a replacement. Speaking of pickups, these single-coils sound awesome, and their outputs measure 6.49k ohms in neck position and 6.29k ohms in the bridge.
