Since breaking through with The Gaslight Anthem’s critically acclaimed record, The ’59 Sound in 2008, singer-songwriter Brian Fallon stands as one of the most respected voices of his generation. From his timeless melodies to perfectly crafted rhythm guitar parts, his Telecaster® plays a pivotal role in his music. Growing up idolizing both Bruce Springsteen and Joe Strummer, Brian’s love for this “working man’s” instrument was undeniable. In his mind, a Telecaster® matches his style—it not only represents his heroes but symbolized the same no-nonsense approach to songwriting and performing he admires.
The Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition Brian Fallon ’59 Telecaster® Custom perfectly embodies the balance of raw, powerful resonance with sweet, delicate chime Tele® fans revere. Based on Fallon’s personal #1 Telecaster, the double-bound, lightweight two-piece alder body is elegantly finished in Journeyman Relic® black lacquer and is paired with comfortable rift-sawn ’60-Style Oval “C” maple neck and flat-laminated dark AAA rosewood fingerboard. With all the ideal first-year Telecaster Custom appointments, this guitar captures the nuances collectors and vintage guitar fans love, but there are a few key specs that set this guitar apart from the pack. Loaded with a pair of Righteous Sound “Fourth Man” pickups and Dual Stack HS Tele® wiring, this limited-edition Telecaster® Custom has midrangy snarl and bite from the bridge pickup and warm, clear note definition from the split-coil neck pickup. When in the middle position, both pickups combine to create shimmering, well-balanced tone.
Other premium features include 9.5" (241 mm) radius, 21 vintage upgrade (45085) frets, 3-way switch, 3-ply parchment pickguard, ’63 Telecaster® bridge with RSD Brass Saddles, vintage-style tuning machines, bone nut, American Vintage ’59-’64 wing string tree, deluxe hardshell case, strap, certificate of authenticity.
