In 1951, caught between the end of the "Broadcaster" name and the dawn of the "Telecaster," Fender shipped guitars with no model name on the headstock at all — and a legend was born. Informed by a telegram from Gretsch that the “Broadkaster” name had been registered for a drum kit, Fender began clipping the “Broadcaster” name from headstock decals until the new Telecaster decals were delivered. Seventy-five years later, the legend lives on in the 75th Anniversary American Vintage II 1951 Nocaster — a meticulous tribute to one of the most storied instruments ever made.

The substantial '51 "U"-shaped hard rock maple neck plays like a dream with a 7.25" radius fingerboard and vintage tall frets. True to the vintage accurate Nocaster specifications, the 12th fret face-dot spacing is narrow and the sole single Phillips-head fastener on the guitar is at the truss rod nut. The triple brass saddle bridge and single-line "Fender Deluxe" tuners deliver authentic Fender style, while the 75th Anniversary Blackguard Telecaster pickups honor the guitar's direct lineage to the original — delivering that raw, chimey, unmistakable blackguard twang that started it all.
