This SG Supreme features a plain maple top on a mahogany body. The SG Supreme has no pickguard, which gives it a sleek and modern appearance. The mahogany neck has a fast-playing SlimTaper profile and is equipped with an ebony fretboard with a 10”-16” compound radius for both easy bends and first-position chording, 24 medium jumbo frets for extended range, and Super Split Block mother-of-pearl inlays. The headstock is adorned with a striking new mother-of-pearl “Chandelier Inlay” inspired by a design from the 1940s that was discovered in the Gibson archives. Locking Grover tuners with Keystone buttons work in tandem with the Graph Tech nut to keep the tuning rock solid, while the aluminum Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge and aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece provide precise intonation and exceptional sustain.
The SG Supreme’s Burstbucker Pro and Burstbucker Pro + pickups are paired with push/pull volume controls for coil tapping, along with individual tone controls.
