A Custom Shop Collaboration

Wildwoodians, we are proud to present the first-ever collaboration between the Gibson Custom Shop and Epiphone: the Epiphone 1959 Les Paul Standard. Our friends at Epiphone wanted to imbue these '59s with a little extra magic, so they teamed up with the wizards at the Custom shop to produce what may be the most authentic Epiphone yet! They come decked out with a AAA flame maple veneer on top of a hard rock maple cap with resonant mahogany underneath. Atop that beautiful maple, you'll find two Gibson Burstbucker pickups that have plenty of vintage PAF-style power. And, speaking of power, the Epiphone 1959 Les Paul Standard has a long tenon neck joint, which maximizes resonance and sustain. That neck also features a comfy '59 rounded C profile and medium jumbo frets, a configuration that works well for just about every style of play. To top it off, the Epiphone '59 LP has all kinds of cool cosmetic appointments. We're talking tulip tuners, trapezoid inlays, and a LockTone bridge. And, as a bonus, it all comes wrapped up in a vintage-style hardshell case.
