Sonic Evaluation

If you're looking for an HSS guitar with more beef than all the sandwich shops in Chicago combined, check this serial out! It has a beautiful blend of gristle and muscle, with enough fundamental to punch through anything and enough overtones to make one note feel like seventeen. The bridge pickup sounds like an angry bear protecting its cub, with a big 'ol snarl in the midrange, an open, sizzling high-end, and robust lows. The middle position packs a more wolfish bite (focused but no less deadly!) in the mids, with some lovely chime and jangle and warm, woody low-end. The neck pickup sounds broad and sonorous, with thick mids, glassy highs, and fat, round lows. The in-between positions sound unusually fat, and have a lovely vocal quality to them, too. And, if you engage the midboost, the ensuing fiery sounds make you feel like a Viking warlord swinging a battle axe. If your tonequest has led you to seek an HSS guitar with equal parts power and versatility, this Tyler may be the guitar for you!
