Sonic Evaluation

Today, I am thankful that, out of all the times I could exist in, I live in the part of human history where I get to play marvelous instruments like this 12-fret Martin 000-28. Some acoustic guitars are so great, they make you ponder your place in the cosmos, and this serial is one of them! It's magnificently responsive, and it sounds lush and full even when you barely brush the strings. The attack is wonderfully articulate, with a percussiveness that helps the guitar punch through but never sounds harsh or splatty (believe me--I tried to make this thing sound bad and I couldn't!). As you might guess, that makes this guitar a glorious fingerstyle machine.

The crazy thing is, it also sounds incredible when you really hard. When I flailed away with my sledgehammer right hand as I played I Will Dare by The Replacements, it sounded awesome, with big full bass response and gorgeous sparkling, jangly trebles. It's like someone sanded away all of the rough edges of the sound, with silvery sparkling overtones blending beautifully above the pick attack.

EQ-wise, this guitar has thunderous bass response, warm midrange, and beautiful bell-like jangling trebles. The sunniness of the highs complements the booming low-end perfectly, resulting in a nicely-balanced yet robust voice.
