This vintage '79 LP Artisan has acquired some honest vintage wear over the years, and it has been modded to become perhaps the ultimate hot-rodded Les Paul. It has received a refret at some point, and the new frets show just a little bit of wear, measuring .103 inches by .041 inches. It shows typical vintage wear, most noticeably on the back by the bass-side lower bout. The nut is a replacement, and so are the pickups. The neck pickup is a Seymour Duncan SEYJ Seymourizer handwound by the legendary Maricela Juarez, the middle is a DiMarzio X2n Power Plus, and the bridge is a Seymour Duncan The Mag (which is an early AlNiCo V of the Stag Mag pickup). The pots date to 1970 and 1971, and this means they could be old stock from the factory or replacements given how much electronic work this guitar has undergone. Either way, it sounds awesome! It comes with a non-original Gibson USA hardshell case, too.
