Fender Britt Daniel Telecaster Thinline
Everything Hits at OnceAs the guitarist and lead singer of legendary indie rock band Spoon, Britt Daniel has put out consistently great albums on a regular basis since 1993. Over the course of Spoon's long history, he and his bandmates have evolved from wiry post-punk riffmeisters into a peerless indie-pop powerhouse. Few bands as experimental and inventive as Spoon can maintain widespread critical and popular acclaim for almost two decades, but most bands aren't Spoon. At the center of everything they do lies Daniel's tasteful, inventive guitar riffage. So, it was only right that Fender would honor one of indie rock's greatest mainstays with a signature guitar. Wildwoodians, we are proud to present the Britt Daniel Telecaster Thinline.
First things first: the Britt Daniel Telecaster Thinline is a sight to behold. Its semi-hollow ash body sports a delectable Amarillo Gold nitrocellulose lacquer finish. With the black binding and black pickguard, it is the picture of understated cool.
Delectable Tele ToneBy contrast, the sounds within the Britt Daniel Thinline Tele are hot and spicy like Texas barbecue. It features a hand-wound vintage-style Custom Shop single-coil in the bridge position and a hand-wound Custom Shop Texas Special single-coil in the neck. The bridge position has plenty of bite, sparkle, twang, and jangle, while the neck position is warm, throaty, and punchy. If you need more tones, you can use the S1 switch on the volume knob to put the middle position in parallel for more spank or series for more fatness. Finally, because the Britt Daniel Tele is semi-hollow, it responds to your touch with a bit of acoustic-like sensitivity, making for a wonderfully dynamic playing experience.
Speaking of delightful experiences, the neck on the Britt Daniel Tele is glorious. It has a comfortable deep C-shaped profile, a modern 9.5" radius, and medium jumbo frets. This combination gives the Britt Daniel Telecaster the sort of handfeel that works beautifully for just about every technique and style.
Wildwood is proud to present the Britt Daniel Telecaster Thinline. It's a monster guitar and a fitting tribute to one of indie rock's most important players. We have no doubt it will bring you endless inspiration as you traverse the fretboard, and that it will help you make all sorts of joyous noise.
