The Fender American Professional Jazz Bass takes the classic J Bass to a whole new level with player friendly updates, including V-Mod single-coil J-Style pickups, creating a beautiful sonic blending of vintage and modern tone. A classic Alder body is coupled with an ultra fast and comfortable Modern-C neck profile, resulting in the perfect platform to add further enhancements such as fluted tuners, neck stabilization with Posiflex graphite rods and a HiMass vintage bridge. The Fender American Professional Series elevates the classic, made in the USA Fender instruments to a whole new level, and the Professional Jazz bass is no exception!
Tonal EvaluationThis natural beauty is one of the most versatile basses I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing. The body has a great deal of resonance in the bass frequencies (if you put your chin on the upper horn after hitting the low B, the body will vibrate enough to knock a couple fillings loose!), but it still has enough treble and upper-midrange response to cut through any mix, live or in the studio. In fact, just by manipulating the volume and tone knobs, you can get just about every tone you’d need for a three-hour set! This master of all trades is an excellent choice for the gigging professional or any bassist who needs versatility without sacrificing sound quality.
