Condition of Instrument
This Masterbuilt Nocaster is in excellent condition with no extra play wear, other than what was done at the Custom Shop. It was originally sold by Wildwood Guitars. The guitar includes the original hardshell case and COA.
This no-nonsense Nocaster comes to you straight from the mind of Greg Fessler, and it absolutely slays! It has quite a raunchy, bold attack with plenty of brassy growl, but it can also do the rounder Tele sounds if you ease off with your right hand. This biting attack along with this serial's natural evenness made playing quick-fingered country licks feel utterly natural, but it also gave me all the attitude I needed to properly rock out on some punky power chord riffs. The bridge pickup is snappy and bright, with focused midrange punch and articulate lows. The neck position gave me all sorts of smooth, creamy low-end, woody low mids, and a surprisingly sparkly high end. Anyone searching for a snarling Tele will love this fantastic Fessler!
Meet the Man Behind the Tone
Greg Fessler came to the Fender Custom Shop in 1990 and worked his way up through the ranks as an apprentice. He assisted with the Robben Ford signature line of guitars, eventually became the sole builder of those instruments, and finally wound up becoming Ford’s personal guitar-maker. Fessler has built one-off Stratocaster and Telecaster models for a host of players, including Joe Bonnamasa, Jeff Healey, Hank Marvin, John Mayer, Rhonda Smith, Neil Schon and Pete Wentz. Fessler’s remarkable abilities have earned him accolades from many Fender artists and discerning customers worldwide, and every instrument he builds exemplifies the meticulous attention to detail and intense commitment it takes to earn the title of Master Builder.
