This Suhr as one of the most striking finishes we've ever seen, which is really saying something! But, it isn't just a pretty face--it has tone for days! Its midrange response had me wigging out in particular. It sits smack dab in the middle between focused punch and broad thump. So, it packs a woody wallop, but it still sound defined. There's also a lot of sparkle and chime in the highs, and the lows are lean but meaty like a 32 oz. sirloin steak. In other words, it's the prototypical midrange-forward guitar! I could play crunchy rhythms and nasty leads on it all day. It's clear enough to handle complex chords even when slathered in gain, and its singing lead tone inspired me to solo with uncommon expressiveness and fire. Anyone looking for an HSH that slays will love this Suhr!
